The LEO KINO in Anichstraße 36

I visited the Leo Kino on a very sunny Saturday in February to give a lecture about film formats, followed by a 4K presentation of "A Year Along The Abandoned Road" and a rare screening of "Gorillas in the Mist" in 70mm and Dolby A.

Austria used to have a rich 70mm heritage with plenty of 70mm cinemas  in many cities. Today, only the Leo Kino keeps the 70mm flag waving.

Here you have some images of the last active 70mm cinema in Austria.
