70mm Returns to the Prince Charles Cinema
A Classic London Cinema re-installs 70mm projectors |

If
you follow us on Twitter, on Facebook (or both), you should be very aware
that over the past few months we have been installing, calibrating, and
testing our brand new (old) 70mm projector. And what a beauty it is! To
celebrate this new (old) addition to The Prince Charles Cinema projection
booth, we're screening some of our favourite films both new (and old) on
glorious, breathtaking 70mm, and we invite you all to join us!
Our first run of selections this year will be a collection of our favourite
science-fiction films (and one fantasy) that will absolutely blow your minds
with interplanetary spectacle, from the iconic classic
2OO1: A SPACE ODYSSEY,
Christopher Nolan's scientifically authentic
INTERSTELLAR and John Carpenter's
body-invasion horror THE THING.
Our first 70mm screening of the bunch will be going on in style with a
red-carpet gala of 2OO1: A SPACE ODYSSEY, with a glass of sparkling
wine for every ticket holder. There are less than a quarter of the seats
left, so if you don't BOOK NOW you run the risk of missing out on this extra
special opening night screening of one of the best science-fiction films of
all time!
In addition to these, we have multiple screenings of GREMLINS. But this
isn't just any screening of GREMLINS. This is a screening of GREMLINS
with Billy Peltzer and Gizmo themselves, LIVE on stage! For two nights in
November, lead star Zach Galligan will be LIVE on our stage, introducing
this rare 70mm screening, and sticking around to answer your questions and
take photos with his little pal Gizmo. Book NOW as tickets are -
unsurprisingly - flying out the door: our first two screenings are entirely
SOLD OUT, giving you just two more chances to catch this fantastic,
one-of-a-kind screening!
If you've seen these films before, you've never seen them quite like this.
BOOK NOW!!
