Yes, the intense feeling of watching a 70mm print on the curved screen can be a thrilling experience. You may bring a friend. Seen here is a typical situation during an earlier 70mm engagement from the 10th row at the Imperial Bio. Image: Thomas Hauerslev

Paul Thomas Anderson's latest film "The Master" will be shown in 70mm at one of Europe's most prestigious 70mm cinemas, the Imperial Bio in Copenhagen on the request of the director.

• Wednesday 13. February 2013, at 21:15

It is a single screening of one of the most anticipated films of 2012. 5 years in the making and now finally released in the US, England, Holland and France in 70mm.

• The Biffen in Aalborg will also show the 70mm print - dates to follow

This is the first screening in Scandinavia in a commercial cinema, and I am confident the Danish audience will enjoy seeing this brand-new award winning in 70mm exactly as Paul has intended it to be seen. "In 70mm and full stereophonic sound" in a big cinema. "The Master" will look spectacular on Imperial's 16 meter curved screen, and the audience will be drawn into the action and story, thanks to the large format picture quality.

Tickets for "The Master" will be available through the kino.dk web site very soon.
