The 70mm Newsletter
Written by: Thomas Hauerslev, Lee Pfeiffer and Dave Worrall Date: 25.03.2026
It's that time of year, CINEMA RETRO fans! The latest issue has arrived in Denmark with special focus on films from the 1960s, 1970s, and beginning with season 22, also including classics of the 1980s. In this issue Charles Bronson is on the frontpage in a scene from "Breakheart Pass"!

Issue 64 / Vol 22 contains 64 pages with wonderful movie material including these highlights:

• An appraisal of the work of poster artist Renato Casaro, who passed away in 2025
• Dave Worral recalls "The Moon Spinners" (1964) - the film everyone else have forgotten about
• Lee Pfeiffer recalls "Breakheart Pass" (1975) starring Charles Bronson and Richard Crenna
• Film in Focus talks about "The Human Factor" (1979), and at the end an appreciation of "Death on the Nile" (1978) - which is by far the best movie version of this story
• Cinema Retro remembers Robert Redford, Terence Stamp, Samatha Eggar, Diane Keaton and Claudia Cardinale
• Spotlight on soundtracks, books, and 4K BluRays

And of course not forgetting the usual enjoyable columns "That was the week that was", some nice nudity with "Benson Looks Back", "Movie in Print" and "How the box office was won".

CINEMA RETRO is a premium-priced magazine designed for readers who take their moves seriously. You will not find the latest film news, gossip or rumours. You will find insightful and fun articles regarding classic and cult movies, in-depth interviews and some of the rarest photos imaginable.

Each issue is a limited edition collector's item - published in England but available worldwide. This is not an amateur fan magazine. Rather, it is written by recognised writers in the field of film criticism as well as from the vantage point of the actors, producers, directors and technicians who were a part of this wonderful era of film making.
