 The following is a reference / historical listing of the 70-millimeter presentations of “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair.” These screenings offer moviegoers a unique opportunity to re-experience the film in a rare, after-the-fact 70mm print. This 70mm re-release is scheduled for December 5th with an advance screening on the 4th at some locales. The Lionsgate re-release was directed by Quentin Tarantino (“The Hateful Eight,” “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood”) and starred Uma Thurman. The film’s original release—through Miramax—in 2003 (“Volume 1”) and 2004 (“Volume 2”) was 35mm with digital sound [Dolby Digital, DTS, and SDDS]. The new 70mm print of “Kill Bill” features Datasat (aka DTS) audio and imagery sourced from Super-35 and a Digital Intermediate (2.39:1 letterbox within 2.20:1). Duration figures (measured in weeks) have been/will be included in parenthesis following the applicable booking.
