 The following is a reference / historical listing of the 70-millimeter presentations of “Project Hail Mary” (5/70 and 15/70). The Amazon MGM Studios (North America) and Sony Pictures Releasing International (international) release was directed by Phil Lord & Chris Miller (“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” “The Lego Movie”) and stars Ryan Gosling. The film is scheduled for release March 20th with preview screenings March 18th and/or 19th. Cinemas that booked a 70mm print will be holding Early Access screenings March 13th-15th. (Early Access in London and Milan will be the 14th and 15th only and in Berlin and Munich the 13th and 14th only.)The imagery on the 5/70 prints is a mixture of 2.39:1 letterbox and 2.00:1 pillarbox inside the 2.20:1 frame . The audio is DTS. The imagery on the 15/70 prints is a mixture of 2.39:1 letterbox and 1.43:1 fullframe. Attached to the 5/70 prints of “Project Hail Mary” are 5/70 coming-attraction trailers for “Masters of the Universe” and “The Odyssey.” A 15/70 trailer for “The Odyssey” is attached to the 15/70 prints. Following the Early Access weekend, some cinemas were sent a trailer for “Dune: Part Three.” Duration figures (measured in weeks) have been/will be included in parenthesis following the applicable booking.
