First
time on CD is the original movie sound track to the 1955 released
"Cinerama Holiday" re-mixed from the movie audio tapes combined with
music from the studio recording issued on the LP, making this Morton Gould
score release as complete as possible for sound track buffs.
This new CD is of music that was not released as part of the original LP of
"Cinerama Holiday" from tapes recorded at the Oyster Bay Cinerama
facility. These music cues contain not just the music but banter between the
orchestra and Jack Shaindlain the music conductor, a very unusual
opportunity to hear the music recording process with slates and all! Also,
on this album is the LP release but with far more fidelity and spatial
presence, taking advantage of today's digital stereo format. This new CD is
a must for the Cinerama enthusiast and the fans of Morton Gould and Jack
Shaindlain who are very much a part of the 3-strip era of
Cinerama as well as
Cinemiracle.
