 Three DP70 (1992+1996+____). Each DP70 ran a 70mm film on a large 18 x 8 metre screen. The triple 70mm film was shown in the Wehrhafte Schweiz pavillion.

 Two DP70 (1992+1996) in storage

Hier sende ich dir neue daten zweier maschinen die an der EXPO 64 den film ("La Suisse Vigilante" / "Wehrhafte Schweiz") zeigen durften. Die beiden maschinen standen danach in Luzern im Kino Capitol, wurden aber vor vielen jahren ausgebaut. Leider wurden die philips verstärker-schränke damals entsorgt.

Hier die neuen nummern....:
• Maschine 1: 1992 unterbau 502
• Maschine 2: 1996 unterbau 503

Mein wunsch ist mit freunden ein museum zu gründen,und diese beiden maschinen im betriebsfähigem zustand zu zeigen.

 Two DP70 (2056+2292) from Corso in Zürich. 2056 bought in 1985. 2292 bought in 1995.

ZürichApollo Cinerama (*»)
 Three DP70 (xxx+758+782)*. Opened 18.09.1928. First film was "Heus spielt der Strauss". Largest cinema in Switzerland with more than 2000 seats. "South Pacific" was the first Todd-AO film. Opened 25.10.1958 in the original version with subtitles.

1300 seats and 14,6 x 6,7 m screen. Another source claims First Todd-AO was "Around the World in 80 Days". Ran "My Fair Lady" for 11 months. Converted to Switzerland's first single lens Cinerama house 05.09.1964. Seats reduced to 1000. Screen 165 sqm. Closed 31.05.1988.
