We
arrived at Leicester Square early on a Saturday morning to join a Cinema
Theatre Association visit to the Odeons and Empire. The Empire was the third
visit, its vast auditorium was amazing with the constant colour changing
lighting scheme. We then entered the projection room from the rear of the
auditorium. Hum from the rectifier packs was loud. The three DP70s were all
laced and ready for a film show for our group.

The chief technician Fred Fullerton had arranged the right hand DP70 to show
a 35mm reissue black and white trailer of "Casablanca" , the middle
DP70 a 70mm trailer of
"Far and Away"
and left hand DP70 a 35mm scope Dolby Digital trailer of "Unforgiven".
After a look around we returned to the auditorium for the film show with a
different laser show between each trailer. All together a unforgettable day.
