Lincoln and Jim Morrison next to a Cinerama camera at the 2012 60th anniversary of Cinerama.

My Uncle Jim Morrison passed away today [15.11.2021], one day after his 97th birthday. He beat my dad, the youngest, by a year and change.

Jim was involved with the production of several of the early Cinerama films [Crew Member on first three Cinerama travelogue films, ed]. Via his contacts I was invited to record sound for the Cinerama film
"In the Picture" which will likely be the final true three-strip Cinerama movie. During the 60th Anniversary of Cinerama film festival in 2012 Jim was invited for a Q&A session at the Hollywood Cinerama Dome. He thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and we commemorated the event with this photo.

During the screening of "IN THE PICTURE" as the credits rolled and my title card showed, Jimmy dug his elbow into my ribs and muttered,

“I never got any screen credit you little sh*t...”

He was a character, a raconteur, and had a wonderful sense of humor. We’ll miss him. Love to all his family...
