The following is a reference / historical listing of the 70-millimeter
engagements of “Scrooge” in North America.
“Scrooge” was among nine confirmed first-run films released in 1970 with 70mm
prints for selected engagements. The Cinema Center Films presentation and
National General release was directed by Ronald Neame and starred Albert Finney,
Edith Evans, Kenneth More and Alec Guinness.
The 70mm prints of “Scrooge” featured full-frame imagery blown up from
anamorphic 35mm and discrete six-track stereophonic sound.
