The following is a reference / historical listing of the 70-millimeter engagements of “That’s Entertainment!” in North America. These were the cinemas worth seeking out to experience this motion picture.

“That’s Entertainment!” was among five confirmed first-run films released in 1974 with 70mm prints for selected engagements. Forty-eight 70mm prints of the film were reportedly struck for worldwide distribution with about half of them booked in North America. The MGM presentation and United Artists release — directed by Jack Haley, Jr. and narrated by Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly, Peter Lawford, Liza Minnelli, Donald O’Connor, Debbie Reynolds, Mickey Rooney, Frank Sinatra, James Stewart, and Elizabeth Taylor — premiered in Beverly Hills on May 17th.

The 70mm prints of “That’s Entertainment!” featured six-track stereophonic sound and variable aspect ratio imagery blown up from a combination of anamorphic and spherical 35mm.
