Notes about the filming: Filmed entirely on location in Svalbard, Norway. Awards: Best Cinematography (Hans Kristian Bukholm) 20th International Tourist Film Festival Milan 1996. Synopsis: "Svalbard- Arctic Seasons" features the the wildlife, spectaculer nature and human activeties of the archipelago known as Svalbard, which lies to the north of Scandinavia. The jurney through the artic seasons also features the life of trappers and scientists in the kingdom of the polar bear.
 
 
Various: "Svalbard- Arctic Seasons" was shown at the Gøteborg International Filmfestival, Sweden 1996, Short Film Festival Grimstad, Norway 1996, the 20th International Tourist Film Festival Milan, Italy 1996 and Open Air Festival Raufoss, Norway August 22, 1996. The film will officially open the new 70mm cinema at The Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center in Bergen, Norway November 28, 1996.
