Characteristic festival logo created by Filmochod agency has several meanings: Mainly as a beginning of the name Krnov or assumed as interjection it evokes the typical noise from projectors and in combination with graphic design represents the number 70 arranged with fingers.

After a year the majestic cinema Mir 70 will become a place where true film fans of celluloid from many European counties – especially enthusiasts loving the widescreen format – will meet. Three days of a rare occasion to see great 70mm movies screened on a 105 square meters of slightly curved screen and good opportunity to remember history of "old school" cinema technology in the digital era of today.
The foundation of this festival goes back to 2005 when a small 7OMM seminar has since spread wide to the international popularity with visitors not only from the Czech Republic but also from many European counties, including Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Poland, Slovak republic, United States and United Kingdom.
Unique cine-meeting organized by the Municipal cultural centre in Krnov under patronage of the Town Hall and mayor of Krnov together with State Cinematography Fund and supported by many volunteers.
Special thanks go to the festival team, especially to Pavel Tomešek, former manager of Mír 70 theatre, the man who set the whole thing in motion...
Opening ceremony is planned at 19:00 on Friday (opening speeches and group photo).
Lectures 2025:
• "The Legacy of Todd-AO. 70 years of 70mm Film", a 50 min illustrated talk by Thomas Hauerslev (in70mm.com) is scheduled for Saturday at 13:00.
About the Kino Mir 70
Capacity of cinema: 318 seats. Projectors: 2× Meopta UM 70/35XB equipped with DATASAT / DTS digital sound and classic analogue 6 channel magnetic sound, Dolby Stereo for 70mm. Size of the 70mm screen (2,21:1 format) is 14,15 m × 6,21 m.
Projectors will be on display in the in Mir 70 foyer and everyone is invited to visit the projection room. A small breakfast before the morning screening and some refreshment during the whole seminar will be on sale for all visitors.

Prices of accreditation:
Prices of accreditation, which can be arranged on the website:
• Accreditation for 2 days: 800 CZK (approx. 32 EUR)
• Accreditation for 3 days: 1200 CZK (approx. 48 EUR)
The festival is English friendly. All films will be screened in their original sound track with Czech subtitles and additional English subtitles in case of non-English speaking films (except for "Ulzana", which will be screened in Czech version with English subtitles).

The train station is called Krnov – Hlavní nádraží (Krnov – Main Station), from the station it is 1,6 km to the cinema. You can take Revoluční street, when you pass Albert hypermarket you turn right, then cross the bridge and on your right you can see the movie theatre "Kino Mír 70".
By bus:
Bus station is next to the Albert hypermarket so you cross the bridge and on your right you can see the movie theatre "Kino Mír 70".
By plane:
First option: Arriving at the Prague Airport (PRG) and then taking a train from Prague to Krnov-Cvilin.
Second option: Arriving at the Vienna Airport (Austria) and then taking a train from Vienna Airport to Krnov-Cvilin.
