Another year has passed, and Krnov’s annual 70mm Film Fest is once again knocking on the door. The festival's distinctive logo created by Filmochod agency carries several layers of meaning. Representing the letters 'KR' for Krnov, it also serves as an onomatopoeic interjection, evoking the mechanical hum of a projector and in combination with graphic design represents the number 70 arranged with fingers.

After a year the majestic cinema Mir 70 will become a place where true film fans of celluloid from around the world– especially enthusiasts loving the widescreen format – will meet. A rare three-day opportunity to experience 70mm masterpieces on a 105-square-meter, slightly curved screen and good opportunity to remember history of "old school" cinema technology in the digital era of today.

The foundation of this festival goes back to 2005 when a small 70mm seminar has since spread wide to the international popularity with visitors not only from the Czech Republic but also from many European countries, including Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Poland, Slovak Republic, United States and United Kingdom.
