Starting early 2025, KINO is looking for a film enthusiast with experience in audiovisual (film) technology to lead our analog and digital film technology department. Extensive knowledge and experience with (70mm) analog film projection are essential.

As Head of Film projection, you will manage our team of experienced (film) technicians to ensure the successful execution of digital and analog film screenings, as well as events and venue rentals in our cinema halls. You will meticulously handle 35mm and 70mm film prints and coordinate the team and logistics. Additionally, you will manage digital film screenings via the TMS and oversee the Building Management System (BMS). You will participate in the management team, which includes film programmers, the head of events, and the head of hospitality, to ensure smooth operations at KINO. We are open to part-time arrangements, with responsibilities shared among multiple technicians. Taking part in our programming is welcomed.

About KINO

KINO is a cinema located in the heart of Rotterdam. The historic building on Gouvernestraat gave birth to the IFFR and since 2016 has been revamped with the arrival of KINO. We offer six screening rooms, a (cocktail) bar, a restaurant, and offices for the audiovisual industry. The core of KINO is quality cinema, featuring a diverse film selection ranging from arthouse to blockbusters, from shorts to classics. We try to screen as much on 35mm and 70mm as possible.
