| The following is a reference / historical listing of the 70-millimeter presentations of Tenet in the United States and Canada. These were the cinemas worth seeking out to experience this motion picture. The Syncopy production and Warner Bros. release was directed by Christopher Nolan (Interstellar, Dunkirk) and starred John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. The film originally scheduled to be released July 17th, 2020, and then August 12th, finally opened Canada August 27th, 2020, and the United States September 4th, 2020. (Note that many/most of the initial runs were canceled or delayed due to Covid restrictions.) The 5-perf 70mm prints of Tenet featured Datasat audio and 2.20:1 full-frame imagery sourced from a mixture of Panavision Super 70 and 15-perf 65mm IMAX. The 15-perf IMAX 70mm prints of Tenet featured IMAX 6-track audio and a variable aspect ratio sourced from a mixture of 5-perf 65mm (2.20:1) and 15-perf 65mm (1.43:1). The 2024 re-issue prints included a trailer for Dune: Part Two. The cited presentations are 5-perf 70mm except for those denoted as IMAX 70mm. The duration (measured in weeks) is cited in parenthesis following each cinema name.
